Mr. Jon Conrad

Jon Conrad serves as Director of Bands at A.C. Davis High School in Yakima, WA. His responsibilities include conducting the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and the Buccaneer Marching Band. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Assistant Director of Athletic Bands at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. As a native of Yakima, he is excited to return to the valley.

Mr. Conrad holds a Master of Arts in music and wind band conducting from Washington State University, where he studied under Timothy Robblee and Nicholas Wallin. He received a Bachelor of Music in music education from Washington State University.

Mr. Conrad maintains an active performing schedule in local and regional symphony orchestras and wind symphonies. His primary research interests revolve around the development and identification of core repertoire for wind bands of all levels, in addition to the study of athletic bands.

Mr. Conrad is a member of College Band Directors National Association, Music Educators National Conference, International Association of Jazz Educators, and Washington Music Educators Association.
