| The Davis Wind Ensemble is a select one-on-a-part wind band ensemble that has performed a wide variety of contemporary and traditional literature. Since its creation in 2000, the ensemble has routinely performed with members of the Seattle Youth Opera and has had guest conductors such as Keith Brion (www.newsousaband.com). The ensemble has received superior ratings at regional instrumental contest every year. The ensemble has produced many outstanding musicians represented at State WMEA convention honor groups, WIBC (www.bandworld.org) and State Solo Ensemble Contest, including most recently student Christopher Wessel who placed 3rd on Tuba at the 2008 event.
This ensemble, as well as the concert band rehearse as a wind only ensemble, and are joined in the final stages of rehearsal by members of the Davis Percussion Ensemble.
