About Rob Sandelin
| Hi,
I grew up in Snohomish County, and as a kid I was always outside, wandering the woods and wetlands outside my house. I had a particular fondness for creeks and ponds and readily took to water, often coming home wet, muddy and with my pockets full of rocks, bugs and squirmy things. Through some magic, I never outgrew my interest and delight in nature and I have been wandering wet and wild places ever since. I have done a variety of outdoors type work, including doing programs and research for the National Park Service. In 2001 my life partner and I formed Sky Valley Environments and began teaching outdoor based, natural history classes. In 2003 I co-authored A Field Guide to the Cascades and Olympics and I continue to teach in a variety of programs. I have been a program speaker for many organizations and enjoy speaking on a wide variety of topics about local nature. I am happy to support local environmental education projects however I can. It is through the eyes of children that nature finds its most admiring audience, and I get great delight in the encouragement of natural adventures. If you would like to schedule me for a program, class or field trip please contact me at Nwnature1@gmail.com |
