Projects

We engage in a variety of projects throughout the school year

In November  we teach for a couple of days at the open house educational tours at the Wallace River fish hatchery. Student teams lead groups through 9 stations. Usually in the early spring we are involved revegetation projects which involves planting native plants and sometimes digging up non-native plants.

In the spring students spend several weeks doing  individual research projects. From time to time we do data collection for agency research projects.

On the week before Memorial day and the week after we run the Monroe School Wetland days. Each student is assigned a minimum of 2 stations to learn and present to the district third graders and their parents.
